Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) in Delhi has commenced their first Japanese Language Certificate Course. India Japan Laboratory has offered them guidance on Japanese language education. IJL has co-ordinated with Embassy of Japan at New Delhi and Japan Foundation New Delhi and held consultation meetings with the stakeholders. The Japanese Language Course was inaugurated on 23 February 2023 where Ms. Miina Matsuyama, in charge of Japanese language promotion at Embassy of Japan and Ms. Tomo Kawane, Senior Researcher, from India Japan Laboratory of Keio University were invited to light the diya to mark the commencement of the course. The hybrid course will be not only for students at GGSIU but also open to the public, which has been appreciated as a positive move.
