Keio University India Japan Laboratory and Resilience Innovation Knowledge Academy (RIKA), India initiated the Social Innovation Online Hackathon (SIOH) 2020 in cooperation with four India Universities namely IIT Roorkee, IIT Hyderabad, VNIT Nagpur and NIT Durgapur. Under this two and half months long event, 46 participating students from 5 Universities developed innovative ideas under 6 SDG themes. Intensive online mentoring sessions (52 hours of mentoring by 21 mentors) were provided to enhance the practical understanding of students. The final pitch of SIOH was held on 25th August 2020, with presence of HE Ambassador Verma, HE Ambassador Hirabayashi, NDMA, Keidanren, FICCI, UN and international agencies, media, students and all the core team members.
