On 22 June 2022, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) hosted a consultation meeting with JICA team, India Japan Laboratory of Keio University, along with four State Disaster Management Authority from North Eastern States. With the presence of the Director of IITG Dr. T.G. Sitharam, Dr. Sudip Mitra, the Director of Centre for Disaster Management and Research (CDMR) of IITG chaired this consultation meeting. From Keio University, Professor Rajib Shaw, Director of IJL, and Tomo Kawane, Senior Researcher of IJL, attended the event.
