Keio University India Japan Laboratory expresses our deepest condolences to the sad and untimely demice of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was instrumental in strengthening Japan-India relations. He was assassinated by the shooting today, July 8, 2022.
Late former Prime Minister Abe just recently resumed the position of the Chairman of the Japan-India Association in May 2022 and was expected to play a major role in future Japan-India relations.
In India, Prime Minister Modi, paying his tribute to former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, has declared that India as a nation will mourn his demise on July 9, 2022.
May his soul rest in peace.
